Bakery Operator – Food Production in Alkmaar

As a Machine  Operator in Alkmaar, you play a key role in our production team on the bakery floor. Your day starts by checking the machinery—ovens, mixers, slicers, and packaging lines—to make sure everything is set up for a safe and efficient shift. You’ll adjust machine settings like temperature and speed based on the type of bread being produced, always keeping a sharp eye on product quality. If any minor technical issues pop up, you’ll troubleshoot and fix them promptly to keep things running smoothly. While working, you’ll continuously monitor the bread’s appearance and texture, reporting any major problems to your shift supervisor. Cleanliness and hygiene are crucial, so you’ll follow strict food safety procedures, as well as handle basic cleaning and maintenance of your workstation. You’ll work full-time (38-40 hours per week), typically on regular weekday shifts, with occasional overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Bakery Operator, Production Operator, or Food Processing Operator
• Minimum VMBO working and thinking level
• Basic mechanical skills for operating and adjusting bakery machinery
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards in food production
• Ability to monitor and control product quality throughout the process
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing production needs
• Effective communication skills in English
