Area Manager / Site Manager – Government Facilities (Utrecht Region)

As an Area Manager / Site Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of cleaning services at government facilities for law enforcement organizations in the Utrecht region and surrounding areas. 

• You lead a team of around 40 cleaning staff and supervisors on a daily basis. 
• Together with the Project Manager, you ensure that cleaning operations across multiple sites are well-organized, efficient, and consistently meet expectations.
• You monitor quality, maintain oversight, and make adjustments where needed to ensure all client agreements are fulfilled.
• In addition to daily operations, you maintain close contact with the client, identify areas for improvement, and foster strong collaboration within your team.

This is a mobile role covering a wide area from Utrecht to Lelystad and Almere, and everything in between. You are frequently on the road, present on-site, and able to quickly switch between locations. You’ll have the freedom to work independently in a varied role with plenty of responsibility and day-to-day variety.

You will typically work on weekdays, with flexible working hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on the location.

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within cleaning or facility services
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple locations and teams simultaneously
• Proactive approach to absenteeism and workforce planning
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
• Valid driver’s license (due to the mobile nature of the role)
• Good command of the Dutch or English language

• Gross monthly salary between €3,395 and €3,920 based on 38 hours, depending on experience
• Company car
• Contract for 32 to 40 hours per week
• 27 vacation days (based on full-time employment)
• 8% holiday allowance
• Year-end bonus of 5%
